This is a Fence Post Cap designed for actual 8x8 posts (8 inches actual size). It measures 2 inches in height and 8 inches in width. It fits perfectly on actual 8x8 posts, but may be slightly large for nominal 6x6 pressure-treated posts commonly found in lumberyards. It's ideal for hardwood or rough-cut beams measuring a true 8x8 inches. Each cap comes with two matching screws for installation.
